  • Blessing of the Rings and Couple - Hawaiian chant & pa’a kai (sea salt).

Choose traditions from the list or add a family tradition. Not sure which to choose? Michaela would be happy to guide you. She will let you know where it will fit perfectly in your script.  You can also include family traditions if you prefer.

 

The highlighted numbers are beautiful touches to add for an authentic Hawaii ceremony. Estimate 2 to 3 minutes for each choice. 

  1. The Conch Shell - The conch shell is blown four times to open the ceremony.  To escort or blown in place.

  2. Hawaiian Chant - The chant of Aloha, of love.

  3. Ohe Hana Ihu, ancient Hawaiian Flute - Sweet sound of the flute, a tranquil moment.

  4. Blessing of the Rings - Rings are placed in a koa bowl to be cleansed.

  5. Exchange your Lei of Love - In Hawaii we exchange leis as a symbol of our love.

  6. ​The Honi - Exchange of Ha and Mana, Ha (amazing experience) - Sacred Hawaiian gift of love.

  7. Ho'oponopono - Laulima Ceremony - Hawaiian Koa Paddle. Couple holds paddle, leis are draped over paddle and hands. This looks amazing in your photos.

  8. Couples Blessing - Couple adds a few sprinkles of Hawaiian salt into water bowl.  Michaela performs sacred blessing with a Hawaiian chant while sprinkling the saltwater using a ti leaf.

  9. The Vows - Repeat after me or prepare your own personal vows.

  10. Kukui Ceremony - Unity Ceremony - ​Kukui Reading, Light of Love "Two Become One" the Unity Blessing.

  11. Kapa Ceremony - Fabric wrapping to bind couple as one.

IF LOCATION IS HELD AT A PUBLIC BEACH, PLEASE ADD $60.00 FOR BEACH PERMIT (INSURANCE INCLUDED).

Add travel fee for locations outside of Waikoloa, North Kohala, and Kailua-Kona.

$50.00 per hour and .58 per mile.  Standby or late fee $50.00 for every 15 minutes past ceremony start time. 

Early Morning Ceremonies, Prior to 9:00 AM, add 100.00. Puna, Ka'u will require an overnight accommodation for sunrise ceremonies..

  • Personal and Unlimited Consultation and Communication with Michaela

  • Assistance/Guidance with Marriage License Application and Licensing Agent

  • Beach Locations Assistance - Beaches on the State of Hawaii Wiki Permits only.  Choice of two locations.

  • State of Hawaii Wiki Beach Permit - If needed.

  • Required Liability Insurance required by the State of Hawaii.

  • Script sent to you for review and editing.

  • Two Fresh Flower Leis - Lei Upgrades Available

  • Copy of Finalized License Emailed to you for your records. 

  • Copy of the Marriage License once processed by the State of Hawaii, sent to you.  Takes 3-4 days following the Finalized process.  This really helps when there is a name change.

If you'd like to add Sand, Salt, Unity Cross, Jumping the Broom, Handfasting Ceremony, or any Special Touches, please be sure to provide the vessels, broom, cords etc.

  • Standby and Late Fee - $50.00 for each 15 minutes.  Example: Ceremony Start Time 5pm, Couple arrives at ceremony site at 5:20, Ceremony starts at 5:30, add $100.00 to final invoice. Standby fees occur when traveling to remote areas. Helicopter and 4x4 locations, off the beaten path and remote areas.

  • Fresh Flower Leis for Option #1 - $50.00 per lei

  • Store Your Items Prior to Ceremony $50.00 per item or box.  No larger than 2 ft x 2 ft.  Items will be brought to location parking lot.  Couple must meet in parking lot to retrieve boxes. 

  • $150.00 Simple Photos - If you decide that a photographer is not needed, Michaela will take some photos on your cell phone or camera.  15 minutes of amateur photos following the ceremony. 

  • $200. 00 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Coordination at wedding site on the day of your wedding, direct the flow of wedding activities make necessary adjustments. 

  • $150 Starting Price for Fresh Wedding Bouquets - Made with fresh local flowers and greenery.

  • $30 Silk Lei Rentals 

  • Floral Bouquet & Matching Head Lei & Boutonniere & Maile Lei

  • $35 Decorative Keepsake Certificate.

 

 

 

Vendor Recommendation List - Calls, confirmation, and followup with Photographers, Hair & Makeup Artist, Florist, Wedding Cake Orders and deliver options are managed directly by couples and their wedding planners. List is designed to assist you with finding and hiring contrator/vendor.
